  • Patent number: 8668795
Abstract: A method of pre-priming a membrane includes folding the membrane along a longitudinal axis to create a folded membrane. The folded membrane includes a lower layer, an upper layer, and an exposed portion of the lower layer that is uncovered by the upper layer. A primer is applied over the exposed portion and a portion of the upper layer adjacent thereto simultaneously.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 18, 2011
Date of Patent: March 11, 2014
Assignee: Firestone Building Products Company, LLC
Inventors: William D. Tippins, Norman G. Ninow
  • Patent number: 8147644
Abstract: A release liner web has thermoplastic membranes coated on opposite sides of the release liner web that are thermoplastically fused proximally to an edge of the release liner web, nearly doubling the width of thermoplastic membranes that can be prepared using conventional equipment. Also described are geomembranes prepared from an amorphous or semi-crystalline thermoplastic sheet material and having a high gloss surface, and methods of manufacture and use of same.

  • Patent number: 7850364
Abstract: A concrete batch plant is disclosed including a frame and a transit mixer drum having an open end and a closed end. The drum is configured to be utilized both with the concrete batch plant and on a transit mixer truck. The drum may be pivotally coupled to the frame of the concrete batch plant for movement between a first position in which the open end is positioned to receive cement from a cement supply and to receive aggregate from an aggregate supply and a second position in which the open end is positioned to discharge the mixed cement and aggregate. Further, the drum may be a polymeric drum including an interior surface formed by a plurality of complementary molded helical polymeric sections joined along a helical seam.

  • Publication number: 20080259715
Abstract: A concrete batch plant (1) includes a frame (2), a cement supply (3), an aggregate supply (4) and a transit mixer drum (6) having an open end and a closed end. The drum is pivotally coupled to the frame for movement between a first maintained position in which the open end is positioned to receive cement from the cement supply and to receive aggregate from the aggregate supply and a second maintained position in which the open end is positioned to discharge mixed cement and aggregate.

  • Patent number: 6673970
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a process for preparing a reaction product containing methylene diphenylamine, comprising reacting aniline and formaldehyde in the presence of an acid catalyst wherein the acid level of the resulting reaction mixture is reduced during digestion of the reaction mixture.

  • Publication number: 20030234058
Abstract: A reinforced, self-closing pipe insulation device for thermally insulating long lengths of pipe has an insulation layer/panel capable of being rolled around the length of pipe to bring a first and a second longitudinal edge adjacent each other to form a tubular sleeve or sleeve encircling the outside of the pipe. The insulation sleeve is reinforced proximate its outer surface by a plurality of reinforcement strips. Each reinforcement strip is a self-coiling spring which has a straight configuration and a coiled configuration. The spring bias of the reinforcement strips cause a strip to coil along its length and coil-face when the straight configuration is deformed. The self-coiling spring reinforcement strips are disposed in a spaced pattern in a layer affixed to an outer planar surface of the insulation layer with their coil-faces directed toward the pipe being insulated and their lengths parallel to the width of the insulation layer.
