  • Publication number: 20230251675
Abstract: A device including a main plug controlling fluid flow between a chamber and an outside of a housing by pressing against a housing seat, and a bypass plug controlling fluid flow between the chamber and a housing lateral passage. The device includes a thermostatic element with a movable part to which the plugs are connected to control backflows. For efficiency, economy and adaptability to housing geometries, the device includes an adapter, including a tubular body, inside of which a cylindrical sleeve of the bypass plug is fitted to slide, and a lateral tubing extending from an outer face of the tubular body, which has an end for connecting to the lateral passage of the housing, and which discharges into the tubular body via a hole closed by the cylindrical sleeve when the main plug is open, the cylindrical sleeve leaving the hole open when the main plug is closed.

  • Patent number: 10663073
Abstract: A thermostatic device including a thermostatic element and a stopper, axially movable about a stationary seat of a housing, opening and closing a passage circulating fluid and connected to a movable portion of the thermostatic element. During expansion of a thermoexpansible material of the thermostatic element, the movable portion drives the stopper axially relative to the seat. The stopper includes a seal, resting tightly against the seal when the fluid circulation passage is closed by the stopper, a first part, with an inner bore receiving the movable portion, and a second part, separate from the first part, the seal being axially charged between the first and second parts.

  • Patent number: 9823671
Abstract: This cartridge comprises a base (10), a fixed attached piece (20), a spool (30) for controlling the temperature of the mixture of the hot and cold fluids, and a thermostatic element making it possible to move the spool along an axis. The base simultaneously delimits an outlet orifice (16) for the mixture, an inlet orifice (14) for the cold fluid that supplies, via a first distribution channel (F4), cold fluid around the spool, a passage (F3), delimited axially between the spool and the base, and an inlet orifice (15) for the hot fluid that supplies, via a second channel (C4) for distribution hot fluid around the spool, a passage (C3) delimited axially between the spool and the attached piece.

  • Patent number: 9342080
Abstract: A cartridge comprising a slide valve for regulating the temperature of a mixture of hot and cold fluids is provided. The slide valve is, under the action of a thermostatic element and with respect to an external casing of the cartridge, movable along the central axis of the casing so as to inversely vary the respective cross sections of flow of a cold-fluid inlet and a hot-fluid inlet. Therefore the cartridge can, in an economical and easy manner, regulate high flows of hot fluid and/or cold fluid. The slide valve delimits externally a groove for channelling hot fluid, which can distribute the supply of hot fluid from the hot-fluid inlet over the entire external periphery of the slide valve, and/or a groove for channelling cold fluid which can distribute the supply of cold fluid from the cold-fluid inlet over the entire external periphery of the slide valve.

  • Patent number: 9268341
Abstract: The cartridge comprises a slide valve for regulating the temperature of a mixture of hot and cold fluids. The slide valve is, under the action of a thermostatic element and in relation to an outer casing of the cartridge, which can be displaced along the central axis of the casing in such a way as to vary inversely the respective flow sections of an inlet for a first of the fluids, delimited axially between the casing and one of the two opposite axial surfaces of the slide valve, and of an inlet for the second fluid, delimited axially between the casing and the other axial surface of the slide valve. Therefore the cartridge can, effectively and economically, provide a good mixture of the two fluids, a flow passage.

  • Patent number: 8740097
Abstract: According to the invention, the cartridge (1) includes a thermostatic element (72) which is thermally activated by a mixture of a cold fluid and a hot fluid, which is mechanically connected to a regulator slide (70) and which is moved by a single lever (50) for controlling the flow rate and the temperature of said mixture. In order to improve cartridge temperature regulation within a large flow range, the cartridge includes second (30) and third discs (40) in addition to a first disc which is stationary relative to the cartridge body (10). The second disc is translationally stationary relative to the first disc and is capable of rotation under the action of the lever actuation via a nut partially containing a thermostatic-member-moving assembly (76, 78, 80) which is rotatably connected to the control lever about the axis (X-X) and which is provided with extensions (66) that engage mechanically with the second disc for rotating same.
