    Abstract: This invention relates to a method for manufacturing laminated decorative plates which do not exhibit bleed through. The method involves laminating at least one side of a veneer with an extruded amorphous or semi-crystalline copolyester film under thermocompression or radio frequency energy at a temperature that does not exceed 75% of the melting point of the copolyester film. The veneer is bonded to core material using the copolyester film which has a melting point of at least 300.degree. F. and is prepared from terephthalic acid and a diol component containing repeat units from 30 to 50 mole percent diethylene glycol and 70 to 50 mole percent ethylene glycol.
