Patent number: 11959692Abstract: A cooler and freezer access control system locks a cooler or freezer when occurrence of an event is detected that requires limiting access to the inside of the cooler or freezer. Examples of such events include the loss of power to the cooler or freezer for a predetermined period of time, the opening of the cooler or freezer door for longer than an allowed time, the loss of functionality of a temperature probe and others. In an embodiment, a service mode is supported wherein the door is left unlocked despite the occurrence of such an event, to allow a stocker or other personnel to leave the cooler or freezer door open while stocking the cooler or freezer with product.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2023Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: TriTeq Lock and Security, LLCInventors: William Denison, Calin Roatis

Publication number: 20240093533Abstract: A lock includes a housing assembly, an actuatable lock assembly and a latching assembly. The actuatable lock assembly is positionable in at least a closed orientation and an open orientation. The latching assembly further includes a latch, a cam and a motor. The latch, having a cam profile, is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the actuatable lock assembly is maintained in the closed orientation. In the unlocked position, the actuatable lock assembly is positionable into an open orientation. The cam is rotatably mounted and has a first follower configured to intermittently coact with the cam profile of the latch, to, in turn, move the latch between the locked position and the unlocked position. The motor is coupled to the cam. Actuation of the motor causes rotation of the cam, resulting in movement of the latch between the locked and unlocked positions.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 20, 2023Publication date: March 21, 2024Inventors: Calin Roatis, William Denison

Publication number: 20240053070Abstract: Apparatus for staged startup of air-cooled low charged packaged ammonia refrigeration system includes motorized valves on condenser coil inlets, a main compressor discharge motorized valve, a bypass pressure regulator valve in the main compressor piping, check valves on the condenser outlets and speed control of the condenser fans. The condenser inlet motorized valves provide precise control of gas feed to the condensers, so pressure can build without collapsing the oil pressure. The condenser coil outlet contains inline check valves to prevent liquid backflow when a coil is isolated. The compressor discharge line contains a single motorized valve for regulating discharge pressure at start-up. The motorized valve in the compressor discharge piping also includes a bypass with a mechanical pressure regulator to allow precise regulation at the minimum discharge pressure. Once discharge pressure rises above the minimum setpoint, the condenser inlet solenoid coils will open one at a time.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2023Publication date: February 15, 2024Inventors: Jake William Denison, Donald Lee Hamilton, Samuel K. Vineyard, II

Patent number: 11421447Abstract: A lock with a handle assembly and a lock articulating assembly. The handle assembly has a handle member and a lock assembly. The handle member has a central bore and a locking plug groove. The lock assembly has a lock arm with a body positionable within the central bore. The body includes a central bore and a radial bore which is alignable with the locking plug groove. The lock assembly further has an outward locking plug configured to translate along the radial bore and selectively into the locking plug groove. The lock articulating assembly includes a slider (or a second cam), an actuator, a cam coupled to a motor. The cam is selectively engageable with the slider to rotate and/or translate the slider. The actuator is coupled to the slider, so that movement to the slider imparts movement of the actuator.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2017Date of Patent: August 23, 2022Assignee: TriTeq Lock and Security, LLCInventors: Calin Roatis, William Denison
