  • Publication number: 20150186600
Abstract: An emergency medical history display that can display a patient's medical history in a view only mode when a special micro sized SD card containing the patient's medical history is inserted into a port of the display. The display has no memory to store the medical history and thus the medical history is erased from the display when the display is turned off or the SD card is removed from the display. The display is secured in that it is sealed to prevent access to the inside. A special micro SD card with software on both the display and the SD card will allow for the medical history to be viewed only on these special displays.

  • Publication number: 20100042328
Abstract: A seismic switch is a programmable device capable of distinguishing between seismic movements due to an earthquake or an explosion, which is used to send a signal to control panels for security doors. The device uses accelerometers and a microcontroller for the detection and signal analysis of the seismic movements. In the event of an explosion or earthquake, the device produces an alarm. The accelerometers are low G micro machined accelerometers that include signal conditioning, a 2-pole low pass filter and temperature compensation with CMOS signal conditioning ASIC contained in a single integrated circuit sealed hermetically at the wafer level.

  • Publication number: 20090277101
Abstract: A portable lactation module in which a mother can breastfeed or change her baby in private and in safety within a public space. The module includes a comfortable seat and a changing table in which the mother can breastfeed and then change her baby inside the module. The module includes side walls and at least one door with one-way glass or frosted glass that will allow the mother to see outside but prevent people from the outside to see clearly the mother inside in order to provide for privacy. Across from the seat and under the changing table is an opening for a baby stroller to be parked. The opening allows for the mother to access items from the stroller from inside the module without having to bring the stroller inside the module. A stroller locking device is provided for inside the module to prevent the stroller from the removed from the opening while the mother is inside.

Abstract: A seismic switch is a programmable device capable of distinguishing between seismic movements due to an earthquake or an explosion, which is used to send a signal to control panels for security doors. The device uses accelerometers and a microcontroller for the detection and signal analysis of the seismic movements. In the event of an explosion or earthquake, the device produces a loud sound which serves as an audible alarm. Other proposed applications, with minor modifications to the device or software code, include monitoring of freight handling, emergency shut-off controller for industrial control systems and machinery, a by-pass system for electronic access control panels, and as a theft-deterrent or a component of a security system for automated teller machines and other valuable devices or items.

  • Publication number: 20030014919
Abstract: A seismic sensor controlled door unlocking system which has a vibration sensor and a control system. The vibration sensor is configured to detect heavy vibrations such as those made by an earthquake. The control system maintains the locked state of, and has the ability to unlock, a door to which it is connected. Upon detection of a large vibration by the vibration sensor, the control system unlocks the door.

  • Patent number: 6264745
Abstract: A powder spray apparatus and method for operating it comprise a spray booth having a floor. A spray gun is associated with the spray for directing a spray of powder of a particular color toward a workpiece. Overspray is redirected by limiting exhaust air from the flowing into an air-entrained powder separation system. An inlet to the separation system includes a sump for capturing powder from the floor of the spray booth when the floor is cleaned during a color changeover. The powder deposited in the sump is recirculated to a powder reservoir for later reuse.

  • Patent number: 5694867
Abstract: A fail-safe access control chamber security system (ACCSS) including a bullet-proof access control unit (ACU) having an entrance chamber and an exit chamber. The entrance chamber includes a first interlocking door providing passage from a non-secure area into the entrance chamber and a second interlocking door providing passage from the entrance chamber to a secure area. The entrance chamber includes a first floor mat and a second floor mat located between the first and second doors to determine the location of a person within the entrance chamber. A metal detector is provided between the first and second floor mats and the system includes arrangements for preventing entrance into the secure area if a weapon is present. Control circuitry prevents the simultaneous opening of the first and second doors. The exit chamber includes a third interlocking door for providing passage from the secure area into the exit chamber and a fourth interlocking door providing passage from the exit chamber to the non-secure area.
