  • Patent number: 12485243
Abstract: A sanitary extubation cover used to cover an endotracheal tube and a patient's face in order to accommodate sanitary extubation. The sanitary extubation cover includes a mask and a cover which covers the endotracheal tube. If the patient coughs, the cough would be directed into the mask and the endotracheal tube (which is covered by the cover) but contaminants from the cough would be suppressed from spreading into the open air. The mask can have an air cushion at the bottom of the mask in order to securely press against the patient's face. The mask can also have a solid silicone base at the bottom of the mask in order to securely press against the patient's face.

  • Publication number: 20240000856
Abstract: Disclosed are compositions comprising a honey, a cannabinoid, and an emulsifier, and compositions comprising methylglyoxal, a cannabinoid and an emulsifier. The emulsifier is preferably cyclodextrin. The composition is stabilised such that the rate of degradation of the active components in honey, including methylglyoxal and dihydroxyacetone, is reduced. The composition is also physically stabilised such that the rate of separation of the cannabinoid is reduced and the homogeneity of the composition is maintained over time.

  • Publication number: 20200160255
Abstract: A computerized system and method for generating and filling player or employee rosters within a tiered salary structure via an assignment and selection process using preset salary tiers, team or employer selection criteria, player or employee rank order or preference lists, and a recursive priority algorithm. One party (players, employees) submits preference lists in advance of the matching process. The other party (owners, employers) submits selections in real-time during the selection process via a graphic user interface. Particular embodiments for professional sports leagues include a priority algorithm of highest salary tier, current team status, and higher player preference to assign players to teams. Embodiments of the invention include a tier-by-tier match wherein roster positions in higher salary tiers are selected and filled first, and a comprehensive match wherein roster positions in all salary tiers are selected simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 5662711
Abstract: An apparatus and method for treating congenital heart defects, such as cyanotic heart defects which includes a shunt implanted within a patient's cavity for communicating blood from the patient's arterial system to the patient's pulmonary system. An adjustable flow restrictor forms part of the shunt and is operative to adjust the effect of cross-section of the shunt thereby varying the blood flow rate in the shunt. An oximeter monitors the oxygen saturation levels in the blood and in cooperation with a restrictor control varies inflation of the bladder to maintain an oxygen saturation level in the blood between predetermined limits.
