  • Publication number: 20210302779
Abstract: Systems and methods for modifying display unit operations based on orientation are provided. A controller receives orientation data from an orientation detection device and commands operations of a thermal management system based, at least in part, on the received orientation data. A solar angle relative to the electronic display may be determined based on a location, a date, a time, and the orientation data. • Patent number: 11096317
Abstract: Systems and method for thermally managing display assemblies are provided. A closed loop pathway for circulating gas includes a channel located behind an electronic display located at a housing. A fan unit is positioned within the rear channel. A storage area for an equipment storage device is located within or adjacent to the channel and is partitioned by a barrier. A loopback channel accepts a flow of the circulating gas and forms a pathway about the equipment storage device. The fan unit generates an area of relatively high pressure circulating gas compared to circulating gas in the storage area, which causes a portion of the circulating gas to travel through the loopback channel to cool equipment stored at the equipment storage device.

  • Publication number: 20210243906
Abstract: An electronic display assembly includes a display unit supported by a housing assembly. An upper portion is supported by said housing assembly above, and spaced apart from, the display unit. One or more fans associated with the upper portion move ambient air ingested through one or more intake/exhaust apertures in upper portion housing between an upper cavity and a transition area between the upper portion and the display unit. Ambient air is ingested through one or more intakes at the transition area by one or more fans associated with said display unit and forced though said at least one open loop airflow pathways within said display unit.

  • Patent number: 11042183
Abstract: An electronic display where various electrical components may be removed from a housing of the display and serviced or replaced without having to demount the display. The electronic display may include an electronic image-producing assembly in electrical communication with a backplane. Various electrical components (e.g., electronic assemblies) may be removably connected to the backplane using self-guiding electrical connectors. An access opening through a wall of the housing may be provided to facilitate removal of an electrical assembly through the housing while the display remains mounted to a vertical surface.
