  • Patent number: 5718214
Abstract: A blow dart gun and darts for use therewith, the blow dart gun having movable grips and a single-piece quiver attached to the outer surface of an elongated tube. Shims are used to secure the movable grips and the single-piece quiver to the outer surface of the blow dart gun tube. At one end of the elongated tube is a mouthpiece having an inner tapered portion to prevent a dart from coming in contact with the mouth of a user. At the other end of the elongated tube is a hinged tube cover to protect the inside surface of the elongated tube during periods of non-use. Darts for use in the blow dart gun have a dart tip groove for easier removal from a target, a non-flanged rear portion, and threads to securely attach the dart tip to the remainder of the dart.

  • Patent number: 4623106
Abstract: A modular improved forward section and improved aft section containing an tive-control package are disclosed which can be retrofitted to existing sphere-cone geometry reentry bodies (RBs) and which will provide improved aerodynamic performance and deployment accuracy of the RBs independent of missile error sources and drop sequence. An aft section containing control electronics, a propulsion system and steering jets permits the improve RB to actively correct for attitude and velocity dispersions occurring throughout the flight profile.

  • Patent number: 3936047
Abstract: A machine is equipped with a rotating support platform, which may have two distinct degrees of freedom or motion in the plane of said platform, which latter may be tilted at an angle to the horizontal. The body of a person mounting and bracing himself, or being placed on such platform is subject to downward as well as lateral gravitational forces as the platform rotates and/or translates. Muscular resistance to this pull produces an unusually effective and relatively effortless exercise and therapeutic effect. Angle of tilt and speed of rotation may be varied to suit the individual. When the body support function is combined with a two directional effect, the user can receive a direct indication of the sufficiency with which he is performing the exercising routine by means of suitably located indicating instruments.
