Abstract: A holster for supporting an elongated hand-held instrument, when the instrument is not in use, comprises at least one clip, and a frame, for securing a contamination barrier around the instrument and for allowing the instrument to be inserted into, and withdrawn from, the interior of the barrier; and a support for the frame. The holster is of use for intake nozzles of medical and dental operating room suction equipment.
