Abstract: An outdoor cooker is double walled insulated and has a completely removable internal firebox that defines a vertical column which includes a fuel and fire chamber separated from an ash and air chamber by a fire grate. The perimeter wall defines an air inlet that opens the air and ash chamber to an air supply passage through the cooker body, and further defines an exhaust outlet that opens into the inner chamber of the cooker. Consistent low cooking temperatures (200°-250° F.) without resupplying fuel or opening the outdoor cooker for 10-20 or more hours are easily accomplished. The outdoor cooker is also versatile enough to directly cook other meats, such as steaks, at high temperatures for total cook times that may only last a matter of minutes. The outdoor cooker can also be configured for medium temperature indirect and direct barbequing.

Abstract: A venturi vent assembly for an outdoor cooker includes a cooker mounting flange attached to, and surrounding, one end of an outer tube. An inner tube extends through the outer tube and has an blower inlet at one end and an outlet. A plurality of ribs attach an exterior surface of an inner tube to an interior surface of the outer tube to define a plurality of venturi passages that surround a center passage of the inner tube. A valve plate is mounted on the inner tube and is movable between a closed position in contact with the outer tube to close the venturi passages, and an open position out of contact with the outer tube to open the venturi passages. The outlet tube of an electric blower may be mated to the inlet of the inner tube, and the venturi of assembly may be attached to a firebox of an outdoor cooker via the mounting flange.

The outdoor cooking cooker may also include a vertical lifting device for lifting a single rack or multiple racks out from the outdoor cooking cooker and a device for coupling the racks together. The outdoor cooking device can include a firebox that is double-walled and may be mounted upon a trailer for easier transportation between locations. A flexible peripheral seal damps sound and seals against leakage when the lid is moved to a closed position.

A blower is attached to the main passage. The firebox also includes an internal divider that divides the firebox into a lower chamber fluidly connected to an upper chamber by flow openings in a burn platform. The firebox includes a first access door with a vertical hinge axis, and a second access door with a horizontal hinge axis. A rotisserie spit support and a motor support are mounted to opposite sides of the second access door.
