  • Publication number: 20180229709
Abstract: A brake line assembly including a brake hose and a connector assembly. The connector assembly includes a tube having a portion thereof the tube externally threaded; a flare nut defining a bore and through which the tube is inserted; and a fitting defining a bore configured to receive an end of the brake hose therein. A portion of a wall defining the fitting's bore is disposed adjacent the fitting's first end and is internally threaded. The threaded portion of the tube is engaged therewith. The fitting is disposed a distance from a flare on the tube adjacent a first end of the flare nut and when the flare nut is fixedly engaged with a component of the braking system, the distance between the fitting and the second end of the flare nut is sufficiently large enough to permit a head of a flare-nut wrench to be received therein.

  • Patent number: 9707946
Abstract: A hydraulic actuator which may be used as a surge brake actuator may include a housing defining a low pressure chamber and a high pressure chamber, a low pressure piston assembly which is in the low pressure chamber and has a contact surface, a high pressure piston assembly which is in the high pressure chamber and which moves forward in response to forward movement of the low pressure piston assembly, and an unloader valve in fluid communication with the low pressure chamber and having a closed position and an open position adapted to allow hydraulic fluid to flow out of the low pressure chamber through the unloader valve, wherein the contact surface engages and pushes the unloader valve from the closed position to the open position during forward movement of the low pressure piston assembly. The actuator may be used for actuating a brake system.

  • Patent number: 5319698
Abstract: A security system for detecting and signalling the presence of abnormal security or hazardous conditions, such as unauthorized entry, glass breakage, fire, smoke, high water level, in individual units, such as a boat, a recreational vehicle, an automobile, which are located or stored in a given security area.. The security system comprises sensor units which, when actuated, transmit coded signals through the atmosphere which identifies each sensor unit and the individual unit on which it is located. A receiver on the individual unit recognizes only the coded signals from sensor units which are on the same individual unit as the receiver. A coded output signal is provided to a slave transmitter on the individual unit which identifies the particular sensor unit which was actuated. The slave transmitter provides a coded transmission signal to a local security station which identifies the particular sensor unit which was actuated and the individual unit where the actuated sensor unit resides.
