  • Publication number: 20240125704
Abstract: An optical stack for sensing a presence of an analyte is provided. The optical stack includes a sensor material. The sensor material includes a first optical response including a first optical property having a second value in response to an excitation signal including the first optical property having a first value different from the second value. The first optical response includes a second optical property sensitive to the presence of the analyte. The optical stack includes a first optical film disposed proximate the sensor material and includes a third optical property having respective third and fourth values in response to the respective first and second values of the first optical property. The third value is different from the fourth value by at least a factor of 2.

  • Publication number: 20130299266
Abstract: A hydraulic ride control system for mobile machine having an implement is disclosed. The ride control system may include a hydraulic actuator extending from the machine and connected to an implement, an accumulator, a valve controlling fluid flow between the hydraulic actuator and the accumulator, a sensor, a ride control selection switch and, a controller receiving signals from the sensor and the ride control selection switch and when the ride control switch is in manual position, only allowing fluid flow between the hydraulic actuator and the accumulator when the sensor indicates a predetermined value.

  • Publication number: 20080167904
Abstract: Premium financed insurance products and methods which can eliminate the requirement for excess collateral beyond the policy itself are disclosed, wherein the premiums for an insurance policy covering the life of an insured are paid by a loan, and wherein the loan agreement, the policy and/or related documents include a provision or are accompanied by an agreement for pooling of the death benefit of the policy with the death benefit amounts derived from other premium financed policies in the pool, wherein in the event of a cancellation event the loan for the cancelled policy is repaid with interest on a pro-rata basis from and out of the death benefits of other policies in the pool. In an embodiment, a second policy or rider to the first policy is subject to pooling, wherein the second policy offsets the risks associated with the lack of excess collateral previously required.

  • Patent number: 4653397
Abstract: Apparatus for packaging mineral fiber insulation material includes a compression member to gradually compress the material, where the compression member contains a plurality of depressions, the downstream edge of the depressions being sloped to gradually blend with the plane of the compression surface, and the upstream edge of the depressions forming an abrupt drop from the plane of the compression surface, thereby defining an aperture at the upstream edge of the depressions for the escape of air during compression of the material, where the upstream edge is adapted to support the insulation material during the venting of the compressed air.

  • Patent number: 4602471
Abstract: Apparatus and method for packaging flexible compressible strips of mineral fibers into rolls comprises an endless belt, means for supporting the belt in a manner to define a loop inside which the strips can be rolled, and a compression member from maintaining the strip in compression upstream from the loop, where the compression member is mounted for movement toward and away from the loop.

  • Patent number: 4137983
Abstract: A sectionalized panel closure for a top access opening into a compartment, such as for an engine compartment in a hood enclosure assembly, including a plurality of separate panel sections superimposedly mounted over the access opening in a manner to be individually selectively moved and/or removed, to provide access into portions of the engine compartment, means being provided intermediate adjacent panels whereby some panels can be rotatably folded back over adjacent panels or, similar to other panels in the assembly, can be completely vertically removed, the panel sections being of size and weight permitting easy manipulation or removal for engine compartment access, and securing means are provided on each corner of the sections.
