  • Patent number: 5303887
Abstract: A universal pipe support and hanger system comprising a single support member of generally I-shaped cross-section elongated in a first direction between a proximate end and a distal end, and comprising an elongated central web integrally connected with midpoints of first and second flanges extending substantially at right angles to the web, in a second direction. The proximate end has an L-shaped flange for mounting the single support member against a flat surface or a DMV in at least two orthogonal directions. Upper and lower edges of each flange comprise v-shaped cradles to support pipes extending in a third direction. A plurality of septa extend between opposed inner surfaces of said first and second flanges, on either side of the web, so as to define compartments.

  • Patent number: 5222334
Abstract: A flashing including an elastomeric collar with an inner surface and an outer surface and adapted to seal against more than one size of a vent pipe passing vertically through a central opening in the collar. The elastomeric collar has a circular base adapted for interconnection with a base member and a central opening including, a first annular ring defined by a first separation circle and a second separation circle, at least one additional annular ring outwardly therefrom that is frangibly separable from the first annular ring at the second separation circle and frangibly separable from the elastomeric collar at a third separation circle. Each annular ring selectively is removable by a pull tab that extends vertically from the outer surface of each annular ring at a location proximate to the separation circle of that ring with respect to the elastomeric collar.

  • Patent number: 4864782
Abstract: An improved roof flashing comprising a hard base frustroconical base member and a elastomeric sealing collar, wherein the interconnection between the collar and base member is through overmolding a ring mount assembly, 6, that is characterized by a substantially horizontal upper surface and a pair of downwardly extending first and second legs, 12, 14. The proximate end of the sealing collar has a substantially horizontal upper surface and a pair of concentric lower surfaces, substantially coplanar but separated by the extending bottom of the second downward leg, 14. In this fashion, a bending moment supplied about a second downward leg, 14, through wiping action at the distal end of the elastomeric collar, 42, will not tend to separate the elastomeric collar from the frustroconical member, 4, at points radially outward from the second downward leg, 14.

  • Patent number: 4563847
Abstract: An improvement to a universal flashing for roof top and vent pipe geometries characterized by differing pipe diameters and roof slope angles. The present improvement relates to a ring collar assembly which comprises a plurality of stepped sealing portions, each portion adapted to engage a different vent pipe diameter and frangibly be separated from the wall of said body member, wherein for a given pipe diameter a sealing portion further comprises a set of first and second projections disposed generally perpendicular to the flashing body centerline, each extending from a proximate end to a distal end which defines a circular flange surface spaced first and second dimensions about the centerline. The first dimension is less than the second dimension and both first and second dimensions are less than the outer diameter of the given pipe diameter for which sealing engagement is desired, and the projections are of a uniform thickness less than the wall thicknesses of the body member.
