    Abstract: A connection system for one or more heating cables includes an end termination plug and a module. The end termination plug is configured to be coupled to an end of a heating cable and includes a plug body portion configured to electrically connect to a conductor of the heating cable and an end plug portion adjacent the plug body portion. The module includes a mating plug portion configured to plug into the end plug portion of the end termination plug, electrically and mechanically coupling together the end termination plug and the module, and a module body portion comprising a sensor.

    Abstract: A termination assembly for a heating cable includes a first assembly that connects to a first conductor of the heating cable and includes a first cam rotatable about a first base frame to contact the first conductor from a first side, and a second cam rotatable about the first base frame to contact the first conductor from a second side. A second assembly connects to a second conductor of the heating cable and includes a third cam rotatable about a second base frame to contact the second conductor from the first side, and a fourth cam rotatable about the second base frame to contact the second conductor from the second side. Each cam includes teeth configured to pierce through a jacket and core material of the heating cable when the respective cam is rotated, and a first end portion adjacent to the teeth to contact the respective conductor.

The interface between monolayers may include polyelectrolyte material. One or more aspects of such monolayers and interfaces are controllable.
