  • Patent number: 4191161
Abstract: A fireplace heater having a central grate and a U-shaped container with two side sections and a rear section substantially surrounding the central grate. An air inlet is at the upper portion of a front end of one side section. A fan is mounted adjacent the intake for circulating air into and through the container. At the front portion of the second side section is an outlet for the passage of heated, circulating air. The bottom portion of the U-shaped container holds water which is heated by a fire on the grate. The water evaporates and humidifies the circulating air before passing into the room through the outlet.
