    Abstract: A guard device adapted to bar an opening, such as a window or door of a house, is disclosed comprising in combination a number of bars being adapted to lie across the opening, an inner casing being adapted to secure the bars, an outer casing being adapted to be attached by a fastener about the opening and being adapted to receive the inner casing to cover the fastener, a connector being adapted to releasably connect the inner casing to the outer casing, and a lock adapted to lock and unlock the connector.
