Abstract: A method and system providing access to electronic content includes receiving a request to access the electronic content from a user device, accessing a unique ID of the user device, and comparing the unique ID to a list of authorized user devices. The unique ID is used to determine if the user device is an authorized user device. If the user device is authorized, access is provided to the electronic content. If the user device is not authorized, determining if a maximum number of authorized user devices is reached. The user device is converted to an authorized user device, if the maximum number is not reached. If the maximum number of authorized user devices is reached, the user can be denied access to the electronic content or the system can request de-authorization of one of the authorized user devices to convert the user device to an authorized user device.

Licensing associated with content can allow the provider to retain control over the content after it has been downloaded on to the user's computer. Abstract: A computer system includes a chassis and a cartridge having separate functional components that interface with one another over a common bus. The chassis includes a plurality of user interface modules, which are generally designed and packaged according to a particular application/work mode, each coupled to a first bus. The cartridge, on the other hand, includes components that can be shared among the various applications/work modes. Specifically, the cartridge has a core processor and memory coupled to a second bus, and at least one slot for housing a communication module that is coupled to the second bus. In addition, the cartridge may be designed to be configured by the user to have a first form and a second form. The cartridge of the first form may be utilized for portable computer processing systems such as laptop, notebook and sub-notebook systems.

Abstract: A controlled impedance power and distribution network wherein -x- and -y- direction planes of interpositioned power and signal conductors with a dielectric layer between planes and separating each plane from a ground plane are assembled. The network provides the ability to distribute many power levels with all power and signal conductors electrically referenced to ground along their length and each signal conductor also electrically referenced to its respective power level along its length. The network is of particular advantage in the TFM technology in distributing multiple power levels with fewer layers.
