  • Patent number: 10632261
Abstract: A self-admixing disposable hypodermic needle (admixing needle) includes a reservoir containing an additive, such as a buffering agent, to facilitate homogeneous mixing of the additive with an injection fluid, such as Lidocaine, contained in a cartridge held within a mechanically conjoined syringe. The admixing needle establishes a fluid communication pathway for hypodermically delivering the injection mixture to a patient preceding a potentially painful dental or medical procedure. Prior to removal, a delivery needle cap is pushed toward the syringe to dispense the additive into the cartridge. The delivery needle is then placed within the patient's tissues and the syringe is operated to force the injection mixture from the cartridge. Mixing surfaces on the male body (reservoir plunger) and the female body (reservoir) and other mechanical features homogeneously combine the injection fluid with the additive as the injection mixture travels through the admixing needle during the hypodermic injection.

  • Patent number: 9253556
Abstract: Through construction techniques, geometric design, and materials selection, audio entropy or randomness is introduced within an equipment structure or enclosure. This takes away the available sound energy by absorbing it or making it do work and dissipate before it can project audible sound outside the equipment structure or enclosure. “Damping” of the sound traveling through the equipment structure or enclosure is achieved by applying foam and/or fiberglass board/mat material to surfaces within the equipment structure or enclosure. By employing different material densities in the equipment structure or enclosure, sound levels at different frequencies can be diminished by not allowing them to pass through the structure or by greatly decreasing their amplitude. The semicircular sheathing within the equipment structure or enclosure that forms part of the airflow path refracts sound waves at different angles and does not make a good waveguide for transmitting the sound, which diminishes it.

  • Publication number: 20130307172
Abstract: A method of converting asphaltic shingles to a formed product, comprising the steps of providing a charge of recovered asphaltic shingles, comminuting the charge into small particles, adding to the charge a quantity of hydrated aluminosilicate, heating the charge while simultaneously mixing the comminuted charge to a homogeneous state, placing the mixed charge into molds to form the product, applying pressure to the charge in the mold for a determinable dwell time, ejecting the product from the mold, and cooling the product.

  • Patent number: 7944691
Abstract: A locking handle and pawl assembly mounted on a removable memory cartridge or RMC and adapted for releasable attachment to a removable memory cartridge bay or RMC bay. The assembly includes a handle with handle base and handle arm extending outwardly therefrom. The handle base includes pin holes and a handle dwell slot. The handle base is pinned to one or two locking members called pawls and pinned between a pair of outwardly extending RMC enclosure brackets on an RMC enclosure or housing. When the handle arm is rotated upwardly, an RMC Bay catch on a cam surface of the pawl(s) is released from a side of a catch opening in the top of the RMC Bay.
