Patent number: 8074817Abstract: A method and apparatus for metering a liquid nutritional supplement is disclosed and provides a liquid dispenser having a body that contains a predetermined number of single dosages of the liquid nutritional supplement, a cap, such as a child resistant cap, coupled to a neck portion of the body, and a dosage cup coupled to the cap. The dosage cup has at least four axial shoulders on an inside surface thereof wherein each has an engaging surface adapted to engage axial ridges of the cap. The dosage cup is coupled to the cap such that a force that is greater, by a predetermined amount, than the weight of the dosage cup is required to remove the dosage cup from the cap. The dosage cup is provided with an indicator adapted to indicate one of the single dosages of the liquid nutritional supplement to be consumed by a user for a predetermined time period.Type: GrantFiled: October 10, 2007Date of Patent: December 13, 2011Assignee: Remington Health Products, L.L.C.Inventors: William E. Patent number: 6567948Abstract: A system and method for transmitting information between a host computer and one or more subscriber computers via a satellite is provided. One or more live streams of data representing the information are inputted in the host computer. The respective pacing factors are measured from the live data streams. The respective virtual files are created from the live data streams. The virtual files are packet-encoded to generate respective streams of encoded packets. The streams of encoded packets and pacing factors are transmitted to the subscriber computers via satellite.Type: GrantFiled: August 7, 2001Date of Patent: May 20, 2003Assignee: KenCast, Inc.Inventors: William E. Steele, Michael Fischer, Sophia Paleologou

Patent number: 5432907Abstract: A hub circuit with an integrated bridge circuit carried out in software including a switch for bypassing the bridge process such that the two bridged networks effectively become one network. An in-band management process in software is disclosed which receives and executes network management commands received as data packets from the LANs coupled to the integrated hub/bridge. Also disclosed is hardware and software to implement an isolate mode where data packets which would ordinarily be transferred by the bridge process are not transferred except in-band management packets are transferred to the in-band management process regardless of which network from which they arrived. An out-of-band to in-band management process receives network management commands and executes them or forwards them in-band to whatever device to which they are addressed.Type: GrantFiled: May 12, 1992Date of Patent: July 11, 1995Assignee: Network Resources CorporationInventors: Jose J. Picazo, Jr., William E. Steels
