  • Patent number: 12550948
Abstract: The present disclosure provides an aerosol delivery device comprising an aerosol canister containing pressurized aerosol, a metering valve, a mouthpiece, and an actuating assembly located in the mouthpiece. The actuating assembly comprises a button and an actuator and is configured to transform a button force applied to the button along a first path into an actuating force applied to the actuator along a second path, the first and second paths being noncollinear so as to actuate the metering valve to release at least a portion of the pressurized aerosol from the canister through the mouthpiece. In some implementations, the button and the actuator may comprise respective gear racks, and the actuating assembly may further include at least one pinion gear configured to engage the respective button and actuator gear racks. The actuating assembly may also include a nozzle insert configured to create a desired ejection pattern through the mouthpiece.

The spool includes a first flange and a second flange. The first optic is positioned such that light emanating from the light source and passing through the first optic generates a substantially collimated band of light parallel with the rotational axis. The second optic is positioned and configured to focus the substantially collimated band of light toward the sensor. The controller is electrically coupled to the sensor and is configured to receive signals from the sensor and to generate a braking signal. The braking mechanism is electrically coupled to the controller, and the braking mechanism applies a braking force to slow the spool in response to the braking signal.

  • Publication number: 20220104472
Abstract: An autonomous, artificial bait aims to simulate the movements of natural baits. The autonomous bait may be designed to appear as a natural bait such as a crawfish, shrimp, worm, or minnow. The autonomous bait includes a cavity in which a gas producing engine may be received. The gas producing engine includes a gas producing agent that produces gas when it interacts with water. That way, when water enters the gas producing engine, gas may be produced that interacts with the autonomous bait to cause movement of the bait that simulates the movements of a natural bait it aims to imitate.
