  • Patent number: 5672272
Abstract: A filter plate which is formed in a molding operation and comprises an outer frame with integrally formed, relatively thin chamber forming walls or skins and which has an injected foam interior core. The filter plate is substantially constructed of plastic materials which are capable of being molded and thereby provides excellent heat transfer characteristics to the slurry which is being separated through the filter plate. The plate is capable of being expanded, much in the same manner as a diaphragm plate in order to improve separation characteristics, but provides excellent heat transfer characteristics and avoids the attendant disadvantages of a conventional diaphragm plate. An accessory in the nature of a filter screen having a unique construction and a method of making a unique filter screen is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5237778
Abstract: A buffer/cleaner for objects such as jewelry or coins includes a bowl for holding the objects. The bowl also holds a treatment material consisting preferably of a carrier material. The carrier material may be granular, a powder, fibers, etc., and may be pre- or post-treated with a chemical buffing or cleaning agent or abrasive. The bowl is mounted resiliently on a vibrating arm, preferably by using a resilient glue or a resilient insert in a channel separating an upper end of the vibrating arm from a protruding coupling portion on the bowl, into which coupling portion the arm extends. The arm is caused to vibrate by a driver motor, preferably of a pulsed electromagnetic type. When the arm vibrates, the bowl is "whipped," that is, the bowl is both translated and rotated about a resilient pivot point out of phase with the vibrating arm, but at substantially the same frequency. This whipping motion induces a counter-flow of the treatment material in separate regions of the bowl.

  • Patent number: 4836501
Abstract: A structure leveling device designed primarily to be utilized for recreational vehicles which is constructed of an integral plastic member having an upper surface which is divided into a plurality of levels of different heights. This structure leveling device is constructed in a manner to safely support the weight of a vehicle. Also, the device is constructed to facilitate movement of a vehicle wheel onto the different levels. Also, the upper surface of each of the levels includes a roughened anti-skid surface.

  • Patent number: 4400138
Abstract: An improved multiple jet eductor assembly is described consisting of two parts:(1) a manifold ring with a pressurized water inlet and a plurality, preferably four, of radially-spaced, forwardly- and convergingly-directed jet nozzles, and(2) a tube having a bell end, near the bell end at a fixed axial distance therefrom a number of peripheral bosses radially disposed, equal in number to the plurality of nozzles, each boss containing a forwardly- and convergingly- directed porthole adapted to snugly receive a corresponding one of the jet nozzles. The eductor is assembled by forced simple coaxial translational motion of part 1 over the bell end of part 2, the nozzles engaging and entering the portholes with transitory snake-like flexure to reach a "home position" whereat the nozzles revert to their original, free of stress or distortion, molded, straight configuration, utilizing the unique memory property of viscoelastic materials, and securing part 1 to part 2 proximally in the "home position".
