  • Patent number: 5531083
Abstract: A cable lock is presented having a manually extendable flexible steel cable. One end of the cable can be withdrawn from the lock and the cable extended to a desired length for securing and intertwining a variety of valuable items, and the end returned to the cable lock where it is secured therein. The lock is generally bolted to a wall and a key allows the user to remove or lock the cable to secure items therewith. A generous supply of steel cable is available from an internal reel and an axially slidable, rotatable end cap provides release of the free end of the cable while in a first sector and provides continuous reel rotation to lengthen or shorten the cable while in a second sector of a cylindrical base protraction.

  • Patent number: 5274855
Abstract: A siphon flush mechanism is provided for a conventional commode water storage tank in which a siphon metering valve is utilized to control the level of water contained within the flush mechanism. An arcuate flexible connector tube is lifted by the action of an external handle thereby providing fluid communication between two inverted U-shaped traps in the flush mechanism to actuate the flushing cycle.

  • Patent number: 5213063
Abstract: An improved animal tethering device is provided which prevents the leash from becoming entangled with the legs of the animal or with its free end thereof during rapid directional changes or movement by the animal. One end of the leash line is affixed to the animal and the other end over a pulley apparatus to a weighted loop which engages and slides along the leash line to maintain the leash line in an untangled posture.

  • Patent number: 4455954
Abstract: A succession of like textile fabric pieces is placed in a series on a conveyor which runs through an automated sewing station. There is some space between individual pieces. Immediately prior to the sewing station, the lateral disposition of a critical site on the piece about to be sewn and then being sewn is automatically sensed and, if necessary, automatically shifted to a uniform disposition. Preferably any error in original placement of the pieces is in placing the edge too far over in one lateral direction, so that if any adjustment is necessary, it takes the form of pushing the respective fabric piece edge margin laterally of the conveyor toward the opposite edge of that fabric piece. Thus, it is generally not necessary to laterally drag the whole fabric piece laterally of the conveyor, but only necessary to move a small marginal portion of the fabric piece.
