  • Patent number: 7311108
Abstract: A motorized flosser comprising an elongated body and a flossing head secured to an end portion of the elongated body. The flossing head oscillates in an arcuate manner. A battery powered motor drives a drive mechanism which reciprocates an output drive shaft, which drive shaft is in turn connected through a flexible drive rod to a drive disc. The drive disc oscillates in a rotary arcuate motion to impart either pure rotary arcuate oscillatory motion or a combined rotary arcuate motion and translatory motion to flossing material carried by a yoke of the flossing head. The flossing head may incorporate a toothpaste holder mounted upon the flossing head or toothbrush bristles mounted upon tines of the yoke of the flossing head.

  • Patent number: 4915661
Abstract: A flying disc toy which may be thrown and is stable in flight in either a horizontal or vertical attitude. Because of its stability in flight in a vertical attitude, it may be bounced off of a rigid surface or wall. The toy is so configured and is made of a material which imparts a very high bounce to the toy off of a rigid surface, such as a concrete or brick surface.

  • Patent number: 4662856
Abstract: An animated toy which comprises a rigid hollow base over the open top of which there is a flexible sheet of plush fabric material. Rotatably mounted in the base there is a wheel, the bottom of which extends beneath the bottom surface of the base. A cam interconnects the wheel with the underside of the plush fabric covering such that movement of the toy over a surface effects expansion and contraction of the plush fabric cover. On the exterior surface of the plush fabric cover there are animal characteristics, such as nose and eyes, so that the impression created by the expansion and contraction of the cover is one of a living, breathing animal.

  • Patent number: 4506894
Abstract: An aerial toy is disclosed which can be launched to sail outwardly away from the point of launching and subsequently reverse its flight and return to the point of launching, and which can further be thrown to traverse a distance between two points, such as in a game of throw and catch. The aerial toy has four equiangularly spaced blades which are joined at a common central body portion. Each blade terminates in a vane which is angled relative to the blade, with the tips of each vane attached to an outer circumferential ring.

  • Patent number: 4459056
Abstract: A disposable lead pencil, eraser and sharpener combination in which there is an eraser mounted upon one end of the housing and an abrasive sharpener structure contained within an enclosed and sealed chamber at the opposite end of the pencil housing. Sharpening of the lead is effected by reciprocating a pusher plate mounted upon the side of the housing back and forth to move the lead back and forth relative to the abrasive sharpener. At the end of each reciprocal stroke of the lead, an indexing mechanism automatically rotates the lead relative to the abrasive element so that a different section of lead is presented to the sharpener during each stroke. The sharpener containing chamber of the pencil housing is sealed so that all lead filings are retained within the pencil's housing.
