  • Patent number: 11503703
Abstract: An apparatus for powering a light-emitting diode (LED) is provided including: a circuit board having an input portion, a power portion, a protection portion, and an output portion; the input portion of the circuit board including an alternating current line and a neutral current line, where the alternating current received across the alternating current line and neutral line supply two distinct, alternative paths, where each of the two distinct alternative paths include a combination of capacitors, inductors, and rectifiers to mitigate signal noise; the power portion of the circuit configured to receive power from the input portion of the circuit along the two distinct, alternative paths, to regulate the current received from the two distinct, alternative paths, and to provide power to an LED driver; and the protection portion of the circuit may be configured to mitigate voltage surges and to regulate the voltage supplied to the LED driver.

  • Patent number: 10683397
Abstract: The present embodiment can teach a method of feeding to a materials processor a mixture containing an agglomerated drag reducer. The mixture is then homogenized to produce a remediated drag reducer. The maximum particle size diameter of the agglomerated drag reducing polymer is at least 5% larger than the maximum particle diameter of the remediated drag reducer.

  • Patent number: 10212782
Abstract: A lighting fixture is provided in which the lighting fixture includes a housing configured to receive a power supply and a plurality of light emitting components positioned near a lens of the lighting fixture. The lighting fixture can operate in a first illumination mode and a second illumination mode. For example, the lighting fixture may provide white in one of the illumination modes and may provide amber light in the other mode. The lighting fixture is also able to be switched between an illuminated state and a non-illuminated state in response to receipt of a user input. The light emitting components can be switched between the first illumination mode and the second illumination mode in response to a magnetized contact applied to the exterior of the housing, where switching between the illuminated state and the non-illuminated state is independent of switching between the first and second illumination modes.

  • Publication number: 20160290623
Abstract: A lighting fixture is provided in which several of the components, and in some cases all of the components, that make up the lighting fixture are held together without the use of mechanical fasteners. Rather, pieces of adhesive tape that are cut to have various sizes and shapes according to the size and shape of the components to be adhered to each other may be used to secure the components in an assembled configuration. Use of adhesive as opposed to mechanical fasteners reduces the weight of the lighting fixture, and the sizing and positioning of the tape between certain components can eliminate the need to use a separate gasket or seal between those components, while at the same time producing a watertight lighting fixture. In addition, the adhesive can act as a thermal interface and conduit for the dispersion of heat, thereby maximizing the operating life of the lighting fixture.

  • Patent number: 4637849
Abstract: Waterproof explosive compositions are made from blends of inorganic oxidizing salts, fuel oil and polygalactomannans plus crosslinkers. When exposed to water, the polygalactomannans and crosslinkers form gels which protect the explosive composition from penetration of water and the dissolution of the inorganic oxidizing salt.
