    Abstract: The present invention provides a process for decontaminating a surface of nuclear or fissile materials or both. The process includes impacting ortho-boric acid crystals onto the surface. The present invention also provides an abrasive media comprising ortho-boric acid crystals having a boron-10 content of at least 19 percent by weight.
