  • Patent number: 11968700
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices are described for providing network access services to mobile users via mobile terminals over a satellite system. In embodiments, dynamic multiplexing of traffic from fixed terminals and mobile users on the same satellite beam can take advantage of statistical multiplexing of large numbers of users and on different usage patterns between fixed terminals and mobile users. In embodiments, quality-of-service (QoS) is controlled for mobile devices at a per-user level. Mobile users may be provisioned on the satellite system according to a set of traffic policies based on their service level agreement (SLA). System resources of the satellite may be allocated to mobile users based on the demand of each mobile user and the set of traffic polices associated with each mobile user, regardless of which mobile terminal is used to access the system.

  • Patent number: 11921299
Abstract: A display system includes a display panel configured to emit a polarized image light having a first polarization state and at least one emission spectrum having a full width at half maxima (FWHM). The display system includes a reflective polarizer configured to receive and reflect the polarized image light as a first reflected polarized image light. For a first light incident at a first predetermined angle, the reflective polarizer has an average reflectance of greater than about 60% across the at least one emission spectrum for the first polarization state, a transmittance of at least about 50% for at least wavelength outside the FWHM of the at least one emission spectrum for the first polarization state, and an average total transmittance of greater than about 70% across a visible wavelength range including the FWHM of the at least one emission spectrum for an orthogonal second polarization state.

  • Publication number: 20160346660
Abstract: An alignment training mat for golf has a permanent target line oriented through the ball placement location and perpendicular to the target line at or offset from the ball placement location and one or more sets of primary and secondary foot placement outlines or footprints for various golf shots. The practice mat enables a golfer to place a ball on the ball placement location and then look along the target line to the shot target. The golfer then decides which golf shot will be required to reach the target from the ball placement location and then stands on the appropriate primary foot placement outline. If required, the golfer then moves one or both feet to secondary foot placement outlines and adjusts their weight distribution on the secondary foot placement outlines. The golfer is then able to look at the target from a properly oriented and balanced perspective and then make the required swing at the ball on the ball placement location.

  • Patent number: 7516872
Abstract: An applicator/dispenser for dispensing, mixing and/or applying a polymerizable monomeric adhesive or sealant material comprises: a body portion; an actuator movable relative to the body portion; a cavity in the body portion; and a piercing or breaking portion on the actuator. Movement of the actuator relative to the body portion moves the piercing or breaking portion into the cavity. When a container of adhesive or sealant material is at least partially disposed within the cavity, movement of the actuator relative to the body portion moves the piercing or breaking portion to rupture the container for mixing, dispensing and/or applying the adhesive or sealant material.
