    Abstract: The palletizer or machine is provided to load parcels layer by layer onto a pallet carried by an elevator. The machine includes a small frame housing the elevator and an elevated platen which is mounted above the elevator on which the parcels are manually arranged into desired patterns by an operator standing adjacent the platen. After a layer of parcels has been assembled on the platen, the platen is retracted to drop the layer onto the pallet or preceding layer. The elevator supports the pallet or preceding layer at a level immediately below the platen. The palletizer includes a subframe in which the pallet storage station is located, with the subframe adapted to be secured to either left hand side or to the right hand side of the main frame. The subframe includes or carries a power feed mechanism including a ram.
