  • Patent number: 7668720
Abstract: Methodology for voice-enabling an application minimizes code add-ons or code insertions. As an example, in applications used by a plurality of remote devices, the method may include dividing a master wordlist associated with the application into a plurality of wordlists respectively associated with the plurality of remote devices, and then converting the plurality of wordlists to a plurality of grammar lists respectively associated with the plurality of remote devices. Accordingly, the methodology voice enables applications with minimal alteration of the code of the applications.

  • Patent number: 6952676
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are provided in which a voice recognition peripheral device (VRPD) is in electronic communication with and releasibly attached to a personal digital assistant (PDA). Voice recognition software or hardware is provided on the VRPD to provide voice commands that are transferred to an application that is executed on the PDA, or to provide voice data in a digital format to the PDA.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 11, 2001
Date of Patent: October 4, 2005
    Inventor: William F. Sherman
  • Publication number: 20040128129
Abstract: A voice recognition peripheral device has a voice processor for facilitating conversion of speech into text and a communication port for facilitating communication with a computer. The voice recognition peripheral device may cooperate with a PDA to provide speech recognition and/or text to speech conversion for a variety of different applications.

  • Patent number: 4267290
Abstract: A method of making grinding wheel mounts by molding a central hub onto a thermoset plastic abrasive disc is provided. An aromatic polycarbonate thermoplastic resin is molded to form a hub on a cured thermoset plastic abrasive disc. It is believed that the polycarbonate forms both a mechanical and chemical bond with the thermoset plastic to provide an efficient method of producing grinding wheels.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 4, 1978
Date of Patent: May 12, 1981
