  • Publication number: 20240095715
Abstract: Systems and methods for activating and using dynamic cards are disclosed. In one embodiment, in an information processing apparatus comprising at least one computer processor, a method for activating a dynamic transaction instrument may include: (1) receiving, from an electronic device, an identification of an inactive financial instrument to activate; (2) receiving, from the electronic device, at least one parameter that restricts the use of the inactive financial instrument after it is activated; and (3) activating the inactive financial instrument subject to the at least one parameter by associating, at a backend, an account with the inactive financial instrument.

  • Patent number: 5709469
Abstract: A mechanical testing process for insuring composite patch bond integrity. A composite patch is applied to an aircraft aluminum skin. A thermal imaging system views the composite patch using both low and high heat techniques with prior calibration to a calibration standard. The inspection using these techniques produces images which are stored and these images so produced will display defects such as delaminations and disbonds, for example. These images are compared to calibration standard images to determine if the defect in the installed composite patch is sufficiently serious to require removal of the defective composite patch and another composite patch to be applied. Mechanical testing results are used in conjunction with thermography testing to determine composite patch bond integrity.

  • Patent number: 4310155
Abstract: An apparatus for developing the lower leg muscles used while skiing includes a base and a foot holder. A joint interconnects the foot holder with the base and permits multi-axis, compound motion of the holder. A flexible force applying member engages the foot holder substantially at the terminal free end of the foot holder opposite the heel receiving portion to bias the holder to the initial position which is generally vertical with respect to the base and to oppose movement of the holder from an initial position.

  • Patent number: 3987964
Abstract: An apparatus for rapid removal of rubber, paint, oil and other contaminants from large planar surfaces by high pressure jetting through a mobile pattern of fan-tail nozzles. One embodiment utilizes a laser beam system to guide a mobile pattern of nozzles along a planar surface. Another embodiment utilizes a spray bar horizontally angled to a supporting vehicle. Another embodiment utilizes a protractor to measure the vertical attack angle between a mobile spray pattern and a planar surface.

  • Patent number: RE30601
Abstract: This describes an apparatus and method especially adapted for positioning a semiconductor wafer in a preferred plane with respect to a photomask so as to achieve improved photolithographic focusing. The apparatus comprises a holder, provided with a surface for receiving a semiconductor wafer thereon, mounted in a chuck which mates with an adaptor ring containing both driver mechanisms and sensors for sensing and positioning the wafer. The sensors define a reference plane and converts the spacing between the reference plane and the front surface of the semiconductor wafer into electrical signals which can be fed to the driver mechanisms to position, with both rotational or translational motion, the plane of the wafer by moving the holder until all the signals from the sensors are nulled.
