  • Patent number: 11679768
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer readable mediums for determining a scene representation for a vehicle are provided. A disclosed method includes acquiring data from one or more sensors of the vehicle. The method further includes detecting, using processing circuitry, one or more objects in a surrounding of the vehicle based on the acquired data; determining whether an object of the detected one or more objects intersects with a vehicle lane of travel; determining whether the object is in a lane of travel of the vehicle; determining inter-vehicle gaps and cut-ins between the object and the vehicle; and rendering a scene representation including the inter-vehicle gaps and cut-ins between the object and the vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220200701
Abstract: A method of determining one or more actions of a vehicle approaching an intersection having traffic lights is provided. Traffic information can be received from the traffic lights. A speed of the vehicle can be detected by a sensor. A distance between the vehicle and an intersection can be determined by processing circuitry. An amount of time for the vehicle to reach the intersection can be calculated. The traffic information with the amount of time can be compared. The one or more actions of the vehicle based on the comparison can be determined.

  • Patent number: 6623048
Abstract: An apparatus and method for attaching a tube member to a housing of a vacuum brake booster is provided. A tube member includes a body portion, an outer surface, a first end, and a second end. A first collar portion is disposed between the first end and the body portion, and extends outward from the outer surface. A lip portion is disposed at the first end and extends outward from the outer surface. The first collar portion and the lip portion define a recess to receive a first housing member. The tube member may further include a second collar portion spaced apart from the first collar portion and extending outward from the outer surface. The second collar portion may preferably define a contact surface for contacting an inner surface of a second housing member.

  • Patent number: 6561077
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a process for assembling a tube in a connecting element, and a housing for a braking assistance servomotor, in a device for controlling braking including such a system. The system for assembling a tube (10) with a female connecting element (11) comprising a longitudinal bore (14) provided with a transversal shoulder (14a), system in which a hollow end portion (18) of the tube is inserted in the said bore in abutment against its shoulder, is characterized by the fact that the longitudinal wall of the said end portion comprises a zone (23) deformed by compression between the said shoulder and the remainder of the tube and deformed transversally within the internal wall of the bore to provide mechanical connection and tightness between the tube and the connecting element.

  • Patent number: 6539837
Abstract: A connecting member and method of attaching the connecting member and a tube member to a housing of a vacuum brake booster is provided. The connecting member includes a cylindrical body portion having a first end and a second end. A rim portion is formed between the first end and the second end, and a stem portion is formed at the second end of the cylindrical body portion. The stem portion includes a tapered end portion to allow the stem portion to flow radially outward when a force is applied to the stem portion. The cylindrical body portion further includes a first opening formed in the cylindrical body portion adjacent to the first end of the cylindrical body portion and a second opening in communication with the first opening. The first opening has a first diameter and the second opening has a second diameter. The second diameter is less than the first diameter. The stem portion is deformed to create a seal between a portion of a housing member and the connecting member.

  • Patent number: 5715916
Abstract: A parking brake assembly includes a lever that translates pivoting rotation to sliding movement of a tappet in contact with a braking shoe to effect expansion of the brake shoe against the inside diameter of a rotating element. The rotating element is, in more specificity, a rotor carried by a spindle that is rotatably supported by bearings. The bearings are carried by the actuator housing which additionally carries the lever and tappet of the parking brake assembly.
