  • Publication number: 20250037498
Abstract: Disclosed are methods, devices, apparatuses, and systems for an under-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. A display device may include a platen, a display underlying the platen, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor underlying the display, where the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is configured to transmit and receive ultrasonic waves via an acoustic path through the platen and the display. A light-blocking layer and/or an electrical shielding layer may be provided between the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and the display, where the light-blocking layer and/or the electrical shielding layer are in the acoustic path. A mechanical stress isolation layer may be provided between the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and the display, where the mechanical stress isolation layer is in the acoustic path.

  • Publication number: 20120248704
Abstract: An seal is described for a turbine with a first sealing surface mounted on a stationary part of a turbine and a second sealing surface mounted on a rotating part of the turbine, the surfaces being structured such that in operation the thin film of a fluid medium is generated between the two surfaces reducing contact and/or leakage with at least one of the first or second sealing surface mounted such that it is subject to a retracting force which opens the seal while stationary or at slow rotation speeds of the turbine and subject to a force counteracting the retracting force at operational rotation speeds of the turbine. The surface of the sealing face may incorporate patterns straight or helical in nature to help induce the fluid into the gap and maintain the fluid film.

  • Publication number: 20060251280
Abstract: A retainable hearing aid and method thereof, wherein an anchor point defined in the hearing aid facilitates attachment to a fastener that is attached to a linear member, wherein the linear member selectively secures a pair of hearing aids together and/or retains a single hearing aid. Additionally, the linear member may be removably attached to a necklace portion that is worn about the neck of a person, thereby preventing accidental hearing aid loss.
