  • Patent number: 8632685
Abstract: A multistage dissolved air flotation and advanced oxidation (MDAF-AO) system/method with multi-functions in oil recovery, solids removal, emulsion breaking, and advanced oxidation. Influent, with oil and suspended solids, enters a first stage for oil recovery includes a gas ionizer and an air dissolving pump. A second stage includes of two coagulation/flotation compartments connected in serial to enhance solids removal efficiencies. Micro air bubbles are created by air dissolving pumps in each compartment. A third stage is for the emulsion breaking unit to further remove or recover the emulsified oils. A fourth stage includes advanced oxidation by using ultraviolet (UV) and hydrogen peroxide to oxidize and disinfect the bacteria and microorganisms.

  • Publication number: 20050184011
Abstract: The car wash water reclamation system treats car wash wastewater that is contaminated with sediment, odors and bacteria so the water can be reclaimed and recycled through the car wash system for reuse. The car wash reclamation system uses a multi-step process to first remove odors and bacteria from the car wash wastewater, then remove heavy sand and grit, prior to final filtration to remove the small diameter particulate matter from the car wash wastewater. Upon completion of the entire cycle, the treated wastewater is clean enough to be reclaimed and used again in the car wash.

  • Publication number: 20050000905
Abstract: The present multi-stage photo-catalytic oxidation fluid treatment system that uses a plurality of modules to implement an efficient, scalable and cost effective fluid treatment process to remove contaminants from a fluid. The multi-stage photo-catalytic oxidation fluid treatment system relies on mechanical and electronic elements, instead of chemicals, to treat the fluid that is input to the system and provide enhanced treatment of the contaminated fluid. The use of ozone and ions causes reactions with the contaminants that are contained in the fluid to purge the contaminants from the fluid or convert the contaminants to a form where they can be removed from the fluid or are rendered harmless.
