  • Patent number: 8788928
Abstract: A system and methodology for data processing combining stream processing and spreadsheet computation comprises: one or more Cloudscale Stream Processors (CSPs), a Cloudscale-enabled spreadsheet (including a plug-in module), a web services architecture, and one or more data sources. Each CSP takes a set of streams of input data and outputs a set of streams of data. Each stream is a time-ordered stream of files which when concatenated together comprise the stream. The Cloudscale-enabled spreadsheet is includes a plug in module that operates in conjunction with a spreadsheet program and one or more stream processors. The Cloudscale-enabled spreadsheet provides tools and technologies for user authentication, stream discovery, data source extraction and new stream design. It includes features for design of new stream processors, as well as features for checking and validation, cycle and synchronization controls for stream processors and spreadsheets.

  • Patent number: 8069190
Abstract: A system and methodology for parallel processing of continuous data streams. In one embodiment, a system for parallel processing of data streams comprises: a converter receiving input streams of data in a plurality of formats and transforming the streams into a standardized data stream format comprising rows and columns in which values in a given column are of a homogeneous type; a storage system that continuously maintains a finite interval of each stream subject to specified space limits for the stream; an interface enabling a user to construct parallel stream programs for processing streams in the standardized data stream format, wherein a parallel stream program comprises a linear sequence of program building blocks for performing operations on a data stream; and a runtime computing system running multiple parallel stream programs continuously on the streams as they flow through the storage system.

  • Patent number: 7508401
Abstract: A system for displaying a user interface for a telematics client is provided. The system includes a display panel configured to display image data and a graphics processor in communication with the display panel. A draw manager in communication with the graphics card is included. An application buffer in communication with the draw manager is provided. The application buffer configured to receive the image data from an application. The application buffer is further configured to transmit the image data to the draw manager at a first rate. The draw manager is configured to determine a rate of updating an object of the display image through manipulation of the image data received from the application buffer. A draw manager and method for providing efficient updates for a display screen associated with a telematics system are included.

  • Patent number: 4871354
Abstract: A composite medicament container including a vial to contain a dry powdered medicament, an outlet opening in the vial, a Lyo-stopper closing and sealing the outlet opening, and a flexible liquid container to contain a diluent for the dry medicament. The liquid container has a discharge port having an ellipsoidal shape. There is a closure plug in the discharge port. The closure plug has an ellipsoidal configuration and a size to mate with the interior of the discharge port and be secured therein. The configurations and sizes of the discharge port and said closure plug co-act to provide an enlarged, closely contacting extensive scaling area. The vial opening has a circular external configuration so that the vial outlet opening and the liquid container closure plug are mateable. Also included is a composite interengaging and sealing means which is operatively attaching and sealing the containers in mated relationship for intermixing the materials therein.
