  • Patent number: 8616538
Abstract: A vehicle suspension system including a pair of spring seat retainers. One of the spring seat retainers includes a flange and a pocket portion extending from the flange to a distal rim. A jounce bumper is mounted to the pocket portion of the spring seat retainer and extends from the rim. A band encircles the rim for preventing deformation of the rim upon compression of the jounce bumper.

  • Patent number: 8167283
Abstract: A mount assembly having a support structure mounted to a frame of a vehicle and a carrier mounted to a vehicle body. The support structure is displaceable relative to the carrier along a central axis (L). The support structure defines an inverted cup having a bottom with an aperture and a cylindrical skirt on a central axis (L) extending below the frame. A lower insulator is disposed between the support structure and a plate allowing the lower insulator to interact with the bottom and cylindrical skirt of the support structure and the plate to isolate forces in a vertical and/or lateral direction. The interaction with the support structure and the plate improves handling of lateral forces seen in a vehicle during driving events such as braking or corning.

  • Patent number: 7261365
Abstract: A mount assembly having a first carrier and a first insulator disposed about the first carrier for isolating movement of a frame relative to a vehicle body in a first direction. A second carrier engages the first carrier for coupling the second carrier to the first carrier. A second insulator is disposed about the second carrier for further insolating the movement of the frame relative to the vehicle body in the first direction. A sleeve is disposed about both of the first and second carriers and is coupled to the first carrier. The sleeve is formed of an elastomeric material for isolating movement of the frame relative to the vehicle body in a second direction transverse to the first direction such that the isolation of movement about the first and second directions are accomplished by separate and independent components of the assembly.
