    Abstract: A cushion construction method is provided whereby a resilient polymeric foam core is covered with an intermediate flexible non-woven fabric which is adhered to the foam by mechanical force with the ends of the intermediate fabric urged into slits formed in the polymeric core. A conventional decorative outer fabric is sewed or otherwise attached over the intermediate fabric to complete the cushion construction. The completed cushion is lightweight and requires no adhesives or solvents in its method of manufacture.
