Abstract: Flight simulation models are described that have one or more model components that are based on angle-of-attack (AOA) rate. An example method includes monitoring a behavior of a simulated aircraft in a flight simulation, determining an AOA rate of the aircraft during a simulated dynamic stall maneuver, determining a value for a model component based on the determined AOA rate and simulating a first aerodynamic effect on the behavior of the aircraft during the simulated dynamic stall maneuver based on the value of the model component.
