Patent number: 11940068Abstract: A pipe joint and elongated cementitious pipe is formed by joining abutting ends of adjacent pipe sections with a fiber reinforced composite material without the need for the pipe sections to have other connection means, such as the standard bell and spigot end connections. Also disclosed is a cementitious pipe including at least two cementitious pipe sections having ends that are joined together with a fiber reinforced polymer composite material. The cementitious pipe sections and resulting cementitious pipe may have a substantially uniform wall thickness and substantially uniform inner and outer diameters near the opposite ends of the pipe sections. Also provided is a method for joining cementitious pipe sections with a fiber reinforced composite material to manufacture an elongated cementitious pipe, such as an elongated concrete pipe.Type: GrantFiled: January 22, 2015Date of Patent: March 26, 2024Assignee: Construction Research & Technology GmbHInventors: Frank Apicella, Emmanuel Attiogbe, William Gold

Patent number: 11267531Abstract: A gear shifting system includes a drive shaft, a face gear, and at least one power transmission component(s). The gear system also includes a pinion gear assembly, which is coupled to the first end of the drive shaft. The pinion gear assembly is configured to mesh with one of the concentric gear-rings on the face gear, so that the rotational movement of the gear-ring is transmitted to the shaft. The gear shifting system is easy to operate, mechanically simple, can smoothly shift between gears under any gear shifting conditions, and exhibits decreased component wear.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 2020Date of Patent: March 8, 2022Assignee: CeramicSpeed Sport A/SInventors: Jason Smith, Noah Granigan, Colin Diamond, William Golding, Garrett Gerchar, Morten Opprud Jakobsen, Alexander Jacobson Rosenberry

Publication number: 20060086632Abstract: An assembly for dispensing sterile lancets one at a time from a clip holding a plurality of lancets is described. The assembly is configured to dispense the lancets easily and conveniently under laboratory conditions where the lancet user is gloved and must manipulate the dispenser using only one hand while holding the animal being bled in the other. The assembly and its components are made of polycarbonate and rubber and are therefore capable of being sterilized by steam autoclaving methods or by other means of sterilization.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 1, 2005Publication date: April 27, 2006Inventors: William Golde, Peter Gollobin

Patent number: 5924047Abstract: A method and apparatus for neutralizing pentaborane. A high-capacity pentaborane processing system is disclosed that may be employed at a variety of sites where pentaborane may be stored. Remote monitoring and worker interface with the pentaboraneis limited to placement of a target cylinder into an airtight chamber and connection of process piping to each cylinder valve. Hydrolysis of the pentaborane is achieved in the system by rapid and extensive physical mixing of the pentaborane with water, which yields gaseous elemental hydrogen and residual boric acid. Sodium hydroxide may be provided to neutralize boric acid and form borax, which may be later precipitated out of the waste stream. Continuous monitoring through various pH and ORP sensors give operators information needed to maintain correct chemical balance throughout the reaction process. A cylinder or other container filled with pentaborane may be connected to an airtight system.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 1997Date of Patent: July 13, 1999Assignee: Integrated Environmental Services, Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey William Gold, Kenneth Joel Feinberg, Daniel James Buddin
