Patent number: 11957377Abstract: Various embodiments of devices and systems comprising a polymer driveshaft for use in high-speed rotational medical procedures, e.g., atherectomy, are disclosed. Generally, the primary driveshaft for transferring torque and activating rotation of a tool attached thereto, e.g., an abrasive element, is constructed with at least a polymer outer and inner surface. In certain embodiments, the polymer driveshaft may comprise a metallic band for fixed attachment of a structure, e.g., an abrasive element, thereto. Various embodiments may comprise a coupler that connects a drive shaft connected with a prime mover, e.g., a turbine or electric motor, with the polymer drive shaft, the coupler comprising openings through the coupler wall to the inner diameter of the coupler to allow fluid flow to the inner diameter of the coupled polymer drive shaft.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2022Date of Patent: April 16, 2024Assignee: Cardiovascular Systems, Inc.Inventors: Preston L. Patent number: 11924521Abstract: Methods and apparatus for providing delivery of content to client devices of a network via both multicast and unicast mechanisms. In one embodiment, a system for use in a managed content delivery network is described to bridge multicast to unicast, so that the total network bandwidth consumption is significantly lower than a corresponding unicast-only delivery solution, yet which still provides improved quality of service and user viewing experience as compared to a multicast-only delivery solution. In addition, various exemplary aspects of the present disclosure are readily adapted for real-time multicast to unicast streaming of audio and data to, among other things, minimize network bandwidth usage, while maintaining the guaranteed delivery of unicast streams with little or no modification to the existing client device logic.Type: GrantFiled: January 6, 2020Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: TIME WARNER CABLE ENTERPRISES LLCInventors: Tom Gonder, William L. Publication number: 20220257298Abstract: Devices and methods for treating conditions such as rhinitis are disclosed herein where a distal end of a probe shaft is introduced through the nasal cavity where the distal end has an end effector with a first configuration having a low-profile which is shaped to manipulate tissue within the nasal cavity. The distal end may be positioned into proximity of a nasal tissue region having at least one nasal nerve. Once suitably positioned, the distal end may be reconfigured from the first configuration to a second configuration which is shaped to contact and follow the nasal tissue region and the at least one nasal nerve may then be ablated via the distal end. Ablation may be performed using various mechanisms, such as cryotherapy, and optionally under direct visualization.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 8, 2020Publication date: August 18, 2022Inventors: William Jason Fox, Vahid Saadat, David Moosavi, Sherwin Llamido, Roman Turovskiy, William Gould, Matt Allison Herron

Patent number: 9894174Abstract: A content syndication platform, such as a web content syndication platform, manages, organizes and makes available for consumption content that is acquired from the Internet. In at least some embodiments, the platform can acquire and organize web content, and make such content available for consumption by many different types of applications. These applications may or may not necessarily understand the particular syndication format. An application program interface (API) exposes an object model which allows applications and users to easily accomplish many different tasks such as creating, reading, updating, deleting feeds and the like. Further, in at least some embodiments, a user can subscribe to a particular web feed, be provided with a user interface that contains distinct indicia to identify new feeds, and can efficiently consume or read RSS feeds using both an RSS reader and a web browser.Type: GrantFiled: July 23, 2015Date of Patent: February 13, 2018Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Amar S. Patent number: 9807149Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer program product for transferring information with an aircraft. A connection is established between an onboard electronic distribution system executing in an aircraft data processing system in the aircraft and an on ground component. Responsive to a request for a command from the on ground component, the command for execution is identified. The identified command is sent to the onboard electronic distribution system from an on ground component. A transaction identifier is assigned to the command. A transaction associated with the command is maintained on the onboard electronic distribution system and the on ground component using the transaction identifier. An uplink is initiated by the on ground component. An aircraft software part is sent to the onboard electronic distribution system from the on ground component to perform the uplink. A status of a transfer of the aircraft software part on ground component is stored.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 2015Date of Patent: October 31, 2017Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANYInventors: Greg A. Patent number: 9208308Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer program product for managing aircraft software parts. In one embodiment, a computer implemented method creates an alternate parts signature list part having a set of signatures for a set of stored aircraft software parts. The alternate parts signature list part is distributed to the aircraft data processing system. Each signature for a set of stored aircraft software parts on the aircraft data processing system is replaced with a corresponding signature in the alternate parts signature list part to form a set of current signatures on the aircraft data processing system.Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 2008Date of Patent: December 8, 2015Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANYInventors: Fred J. Patent number: 8949611Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer program products are provided to authenticate and determine the integrity a software part. In this regard, a software part is authenticated and its integrity is determined by determining a first hash of the digital data that comprises the software part. If the air vehicle lacks data communications connectivity with an off-board security system, the method determines the authenticity and integrity of the software part by decrypting an encrypted hash of a software part in accordance with a public-private key pair to create a decrypted hash, comparing the first hash with the decrypted hash and transmitting the first hash to the off-board security system once data communications connectivity is established. Conversely, if the air vehicle has data communications connectivity with the off-board security system, the method determines the integrity of the software part by transmitting the first hash to the off-board security system for comparison with a whitelist.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2011Date of Patent: February 3, 2015Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Greg A.
