  • Patent number: 10064654
Abstract: A system for achieving maxillo-mandibular fixation includes a bone fixation device including a bone fixation body formed from a plurality of links. The links define corresponding crests and valleys so as to impart flexibility into the bone fixation body. Thus, the bone fixation body can be aligned with the dental arch of the mandible and maxilla as necessary, and subsequently fastened to the underlying bone. Each bone fixation device includes at least one securement location on the fixation body that can attach to a securement device, such that the securement device fixes or stabilizes the mandible and the maxilla with respect to each other.

  • Patent number: 8522750
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing automatic pressure balancing of an internal combustion engine. The engine includes cylinders, fuel injector valves provided to selectively deliver fuel directly into the cylinders, fuel-balancing valves each fluidly connected to the fuel injector valves for controlling the fuel delivered to the fuel injector valves and cylinder pressure sensors each mounted to one of the cylinders. The method comprises an automatic pressure balancing procedure including the steps of monitoring a cylinder pressure in each of the cylinders, determining a peak combustion pressure produced in each of the cylinders, calculating a mean peak pressure produced in all of the cylinders, calculating a pressure difference between the mean and the peak pressure and incrementally adjusting the fuel delivered by one of the fuel-balancing valves to the corresponding fuel injector valve mounted to the cylinder having the pressure difference larger than a predetermined pressure value.

  • Patent number: 8468388
Abstract: A state restoration unit tracks opening and closing of programs within a computer operating system. Responsive to detecting opening and closing of programs, a state restoration structure is updated. After the computer operating system restarts from a failure, the state restoration structure is accessed. The state restoration unit restores those of the programs indicated as open in the state restoration structure.

  • Publication number: 20070180575
Abstract: An inbred corn line, designated LH321, is disclosed. The invention relates to the seeds of inbred corn line LH321, to the plants of inbred corn line LH321 and to methods for producing a corn plant, either inbred or hybrid, by crossing the inbred line LH321 with itself or another corn line. The invention further relates to methods for producing a corn plant containing in its genetic material one or more transgenes and to the transgenic plants produced by that method and to methods for producing other inbred corn lines derived from the inbred LH321.

  • Publication number: 20050027656
Abstract: A system and method for monitoring facility data is disclosed. This includes at least one processor capable of receiving inputted data and generating alerts or alarms when scheduled activity does not occur, monitoring whether devices used in the facility are calibrated, determining what corrective actions are appropriate if defects occur, provide control over who and how users edit data, provide a pre-shipment review of products leaving a facility, determining disposition of at least one product, developing root causes for defects and scheduling tasks. There is an ability for a wide variety of individuals having access to exactly the same program with material added or blocked-out in terms of zones and data monitoring can be defined in terms of department, lines and processes with complete flexibility in configuration.
