  • Patent number: 9802075
Abstract: A weight resistance exercise machine having cable and pulley linkage assemblies attached to a single weight stack. Each cable and pulley linkage assembly, which is independent of the other(s), can be used by one arm or leg during bilateral exercise training (that is, training in which both limbs of a pair are used to simultaneously to lift a weight). A tilt platform and biofeedback assembly display and measure in real-time how much each limb of a pair is contributing to such lifting effort.

  • Patent number: 9314659
Abstract: A resistance exercise machine having cable and pulley linkage assemblies attached to a single weight stack or other resistance means. Each cable and pulley linkage assembly, which is independent of the other(s), can be used by one arm or leg during bilateral exercise training (that is, training in which both limbs of a pair are used to simultaneously to lift a weight or work against various resistance means). A biofeedback assembly measures and displays in real-time how much each limb of a pair is contributing to such effort.

  • Patent number: 4625960
Abstract: An exercise device designed to exercise the inner and outer thigh and hip areas, namely, the adductor-abductor muscles. A pair of knee rests are operably connected to separate air cylinders and a new valve module is provided which adjusts the amount of air within each air cylinder thus bearing the amount of resistance of the exercise. The device is particularly suitable for use in the prevention and rehabilitation of groin injuries and provides for gradual stretching and restoration of the normal range of motion as well as strength. The device is based on the principle of the use of air as the resistance medium and uses no auxiliary fluid supply.

  • Patent number: 4601467
Abstract: This invention relates to a new valve module which is particularly suitable for use in an exercise device. The valve module comprises a housing, at least one entrance conduit to allow air to enter the valve module, at least one exit conduit to allow air to exit from the valve module and a pair of valves to control the flow of air through the module. The module is particularly suitable in a variety of exercise devices used in the field of muscle development, exercise and rehabilitation. These devices including the novel module allow for isometric, concentric and eccentric contractions and allow for differing velocities of exercise movement. These devices may be manufactured and sold for home use and require no auxiliary fluid supply source and are completely self contained.
