    Abstract: A lacrosse stick head frame has elongated side walls extending outwardly from each other at a throat portion to a transverse top wall. The side walls lie generally in a plane and have a greater front to back thickness than side to side thickness. Stiffening flanges with enlarged outer walls parallel to the frame are provided on the side walls for stiffening the frame in its plane to prevent unwanted bending and flecture of the frame. Holes in the flange reduce overall weight of the device while retaining the strengthening feature.
