  • Patent number: 4727960
Abstract: A support structure adapted for facilitated assembly. The support structure includes a base portion in the general configuration of a sawhorse having spaced horizontal sideboards secured to angled legs at opposite ends thereof in recesses provided in the upper end portions of the legs. Bolts are provided for securing the sideboards to the legs and maintaining the upper end portions of the legs in locked abutting relationship. The outer edges of the upper end portions of the legs are received in slots on the inner surfaces of the sideboards for further improved rigidity of the support structure. Different upper extensions are provided, with adjustable clamping structure for permitting variable height of horizontal supports carried on the upper end of upright portions thereof. A ladder is removably associated with the support.

  • Patent number: 4187649
Abstract: A frame construction adapted for use in framing panels and forming parallelepiped configurations. The frame construction includes tubular panel edging elements, each defining a pair of opposed arcuate leg portions and interconnecting bight portions, with the legs defining spaced inturned distal ends cooperatively defining a panel edge receiving space. The edging elements are connected by means of corner connectors which connect the ends of a pair of the edging elements. The corner connectors include a body portion defining first and second perpendicularly related portions, a first pair of tongues extending in spaced parallel relationship from the first portion, with each tongue thereof having a segmentally cylindrical outer surface adapted to frictionally engage the arcuate leg portions of the edging elements.

  • Patent number: 3990220
Abstract: A method of forming a wound musical instrument string wherein a core wire is fed axially along a preselected path while being rotated at high speed and a wrap wire is caused to be wrapped about the advancing rotating core wire. The wrapped core wire may additionally be driven. The drive may comprise rollers engaging the core wire prior to the wrapping operation and may include rollers engaging the wrapped wire subsequent to the wrapping operation.

  • Patent number: 3962827
Abstract: A panel connector for use in connecting a plurality of panels such as to form a display. The connector is defined by a spring clip, of suitable length, forming an arcuate bead on the edge of the panel to be connected and adapted to be received in a complementary socket element. The clip includes inturned legs providing an improved support of the panel edge, maintaining the panel edge centered in the clip and against undesirable outward movement of the panel from the clip. The socket element may be arranged to permit selective angular disposition of the panel through a preselected wide angular range for facilitated arrangement of the panels as desired. The socket element may define a plurality of sockets for receiving a corresponding plurality of panel edges and opposite edges of the panels may be connected to different socket elements to permit a series arrangement of the panels and socket elements.
