  • Patent number: 12253319
Abstract: Provided herein are extractors, bolt assemblies, firearms, and related methods, devices, and assemblies. A firearm extractor includes a first end, a second end opposite the first end, an axis defined between the first end and the second end, and a pivot portion between the first end and the second end. The extractor may include a notch defined at the inner side of the extractor at an axial location between the pivot portion and the first end that, in operation, engages a cartridge casing having a diameter greater than a casing of a 5.56 NATO cartridge or other platform-standard cartridge. A thickness of the extractor in at least one location defined at the axial location of the notch disposed radially inward of one or more lugs of a barrel or a barrel extension during cycling of the bolt may be greater than 0.019 inches.

  • Publication number: 20250035396
Abstract: Various systems, methods, and apparatuses related to a firearm suppressor are provided. An example suppressor for a firearm includes an inner body and an external shroud. The inner body may include a muzzle attachment portion and a plurality of baffles. The baffles may each define an opening, and the openings of the plurality of baffles may collectively define a linear projectile path through the inner body along an axis extending from a proximal end of the suppressor to a distal end of the suppressor defining an exit opening. The external shroud may removably couple to and at least partially cover the inner body. The external shroud may permit at least a portion of propellent gas within the inner body to exit the suppressor via a secondary opening defined between the inner body and the external shroud.

  • Patent number: 12203716
Abstract: A firearm barrel is provided having a body defining an outer surface and a bore. The bore may define a rifling profile along at least a portion of a length of the barrel. The rifling profile may define a cross-sectional profile perpendicular to the length of the barrel at a location along the length of the barrel. The cross-sectional profile may include a plurality of arcuate portions and a plurality of linear portions. The cross-sectional profile may define a cross-sectional area defined by a Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers' Institute (SAAMI) standard rifling profile. Various embodiments may include firearms, assemblies, components, and methods associated with such firearms and firearm barrels.

  • Publication number: 20240418469
Abstract: Provided are a trigger assembly, firearm, and various methods and components. An example assembly includes a lower trigger body comprising a trigger lever; a disconnector rotatable relative to the lower trigger body; a trigger tower rotatable relative to the lower trigger body and the disconnector, the trigger tower defining a trigger tower hook; and a hammer defining a hammer sear hook configured to engage the trigger tower hook to hold the hammer in a cocked position. In response to application of a force to the trigger lever, the lower trigger body may rotate and cause the trigger tower to rotate to release the trigger tower hook from the hammer sear hook.

  • Publication number: 20240377148
Abstract: A cam race comprising a hardened material (harder than a material of an upper receiver) is provided to increase durability of a firearm. The cam race is fit within a groove within an interior sidewall of an upper receiver of the firearm. The cam race comprises a body that is fit within the groove, and a plurality of fastener pins extending away from a rear face of the body that fit within corresponding through-holes of the upper receiver. Distal ends of each of the fastener pins are deformed to form a riveted connection between the cam race and the upper receiver. The cam race defines a slide face along which a cam pin of the firearm slides during a firing process, thereby increasing the durability of the firearm against undesired formation of defects within the interior sidewall of the upper receiver.
