  • Publication number: 20170135603
Abstract: A point of care device that uses a forced oscillation technique (FOT) and a three dimensional dental device. The point of care device measures the pressure and flow of tidal breathing and reports the results in real time. If the subject's upper airway resistance is high or out of the norm, simply adjust the subject's mandible to see if resistance can be reduced. If it can be reduced by a certain percentage, this will determine if an oral appliance will work for a subject, if that location is comfortable for long term compliance and what the exact location needs to be.

  • Patent number: 8550816
Abstract: Described is a mandibular manipulator instrument as a standalone tool or with associated mouthpiece that includes two interlocking laterally sliding frames including a movable upper and a lower incisor pull, shaped for receiving a patient's central incisor teeth and a pair of pinion shafts for driving the upper and lower incisor pulls. A screw thread is used to provide a precise lateral motion for the sagittal measurement. The mouthpiece is constructed of resilient rubber. The manipulator is positioned and held in the resilient rubber mouthpiece by the two pinions protruding through acoustically tight apertures respective to each pinion's position. The manipulator can be used for other applications in an embodiment without the mouthpiece and/or in combination with a bite registration shape that is part of the manipulator frame.

  • Patent number: 8226407
Abstract: A mandibular manipulator instrument used as a standalone tool or with associated mouthpiece that includes two interlocking laterally sliding frames which interlock to create a movable upper and a lower incisor pull driven by a pair of pinion shafts and shaped for receiving a patient's central incisor teeth. A screw thread is used to provide a precise lateral motion for the sagittal measurement. The mouthpiece is constructed of resilient rubber. The mandibular manipulator may be positioned and held in a resilient flexible mouthpiece by the two pinions protruding through acoustically tight apertures respective to each pinion's position. The manipulator can be used for other application in an embodiment without the mouthpiece and/or in combination with a bite registration shape that is part of the manipulator frame.

  • Patent number: 7325772
Abstract: An aircraft component including a first section adapted to be attached at an exterior surface of an aircraft to close an access opening through the exterior surface; and a second section extending outward from the first section and forming heat transfer surfaces to transfer heat from the first section to air passing by the exterior surface and second section during flight of the aircraft. The first and second sections are integrally formed as a one-piece member.

  • Patent number: 6977618
Abstract: An aircraft radio antenna assembly including a mast; an omni-directional antenna connected to a first end of the mast; and a pivot and movable latch connection system at a second end of the mast. When the pivot and latch connection system is attached to an aircraft, the mast can be located at a stowed position or pivoted up to a deployed position and latched into the deployed position. The assembly can also include a break-away system to allow part of the antenna assembly to detach without significantly damaging the antenna assembly.
