  • Patent number: 4702783
Abstract: A process for chemically bonding a screen fabric material to a frame structure for serigraphic printing purposes. The bonding or fastening process includes, providing a screen fabric material in taut communication to peripheral portions of a frame structure. A cyanoacrylate based adhesive is applied to the screen fabric portions in communication with the frame periphery. A chemically basic catalyst is then brought in contact with the applied cyanoacrylate adhesive to activate or accelerate the anionic polymerization of the applied adhesive for quick curing thereof. The use of methylcyanoacrylate, ethylcyanoacrylate and isopropylcyanoacrylate adhesives are provided for specific end-use purposes. A basic catalyst, in a spray mixture, consisting of aromatic amines is used for quick and easy anionic polymerization of the cyanoacrylate based adhesive.

  • Patent number: 4685230
Abstract: An adjustable stretcher device for positioning and holding frame structures of various dimensions and for biaxially tensioning a screen fabric across the frame structures for subsequent fastening. The adjustable stretcher is comprised of a generally rectalinear and flat base member, a pair of elongated opposing and perpendicularly disposed track members secured to the base member, and adjustable clamping members for slidingly engaging each track member. Elongated stretcher modules having sloping shoulder portions and a plurality of needles extending therefrom are provided for the adjustable communication with the clamping members. The adjustable movement of the clamping members on the track members and the adjustable movement of the stretcher module bodies with respect to the clamping members permit screen fabric materials to be biaxially tensioned across a frame structure placed within the perimeter of the stretcher module bodies.

  • Patent number: 3941356
Abstract: A method and apparatus for continuous mixing of blood plasma with additives, such as alcohol, comprises an elongated cylindrical chamber with inner and outer coolant chambers disposed adjacent thereto with an intermediate product chamber containing an impeller. Plasma and at least one additive are introduced into the product chamber in the vicinity of the impeller which mixes the blood plasma and additives. The blood plasma and additives then flow through the product chamber where they are cooled by a refrigerant flowing in the inner and outer cooling chambers. The mixed and cooled blood plasma and additives then flow from an outlet in the product chamber. A method is disclosed of continuously supplying a flow of blood plasma and desired additives in predetermined proportions and mixing and cooling the continuous flow of the combined blood plasma and additives.
