    Abstract: A method for delivering medication includes programming an operations processor of a medication delivery operations module to control the base function of medication delivery of a delivery device at a selectable rate and a selectable volume. An advanced medication delivery program is created by an advanced program processor that is part of an advanced interface module (“AIM”) located with the operations module in the same housing, although the processors are separate. When the advanced delivery program is complete and in a buffer, the operations processor executes the stored advanced delivery program under which the operations processor automatically varies at least one of the rate of delivery and volume of delivery values in accordance with the advanced delivery program autonomously without being under real time control of, or dependent on, any remote processor or data source, including the AIM. Support for PK applications is provided.

An advanced interface module (AIM) is used to prepare advanced delivery programs and upload them to one or more delivery modules as well as monitor the performance of those modules. However, the advanced interface module does not control the execution of those advanced delivery programs by the pump operations modules. The AIM includes a touch screen and access to drug libraries. The AIM will generate graphical slide controls on the touch screen with the minimum and maximum values on the touch screen for the user to create an advanced delivery program for upload, to greatly lessen the risk of errors. Support for PK applications is provided.

    Abstract: An article and a method for oral aesthetic enhancement. The article comprises a resilient arcuate mouth piece having interior surfaces for engaging substantially outwardly facing tooth and gum surfaces of a user and exterior surfaces for abutting the user's gums. A flanged bite extension, located on a selected portion of the interior surfaces, receives the user's teeth. At least one peripheral edge of the piece is ridged for accommodating webbed portions of the user's gum. Mounted to the interior surfaces is a selected absorbent material saturated with a selected composition such that, upon placement of the piece in the user's mouth and engagement of the user's teeth with the bite extension, a selected amount of the absorbed composition is released from the absorbent material for durational contact with the outwardly facing tooth and gum surfaces.
