  • Patent number: 5626255
Abstract: A drink container in the form of a hexahedronal carton shaped to simulate a video cassette storage case or box, with a pivoting top closure and a straw receiving hole formed through the pivoting top closure. A living hinge connects the top to the container, the top and container being of monolithic, one-piece construction. The case includes three recessed sides having a groove formed in these sides to further simulate a cassette storage box, the groove having the appearance of separating the box into two halves. The container may be decoratively imprinted with designs, logos, etc. on three sides to complete the video storage case simulation.

  • Patent number: 5533639
Abstract: A combined comestible and liquid container carrier having a unitary base with a central, inverse frustoconically shaped sleeve for receiving a liquid container, and two symmetrically disposed depressions, each for receiving a comestible. Each depression has a lid connected to it by a living hinge structure. When closed, the inboard side edge wall of each lid is an extension of the sleeve, such that a container inserted into the sleeve will be complementarily received by both the sleeve and lid edge.

  • Patent number: 4575331
Abstract: A carrier ring for achieving attachment to the thermoplastic perform as the preform is formed in a split injection mold is disclosed. The split injection mold defines a mold cavity into which a core pin is positionable. The mold cavity, along with the position core pin, defines the principle portion of the preform cavity. The remainder of the preform cavity is provided by an annular groove in the carrier ring. This annular groove has a substantially horizontal outwardly extending first wall, a substantially horizontal inwardly extending second wall downwardly displaced from the first wall, and a downwardly and inwardly extending third wall emanating from the outwardmost extent of the first wall and terminating at the inward most extent of the second wall.

  • Patent number: 4435147
Abstract: This invention relates to an improved injection molding apparatus which enables change out of the injection mold without requiring core pin to injection mold cavity alignment for each change out operation. Automatic alignment is provided by pockets into which the injection mold halves fit. The injection mold halves and the pockets are configured to insure correct alignment.

  • Patent number: 4312937
Abstract: This disclosure relates to production of a photographic film assembly substantially free of optical pinholes for use as a base for negatives in self-developing film packs. The assembly comprises a paper layer and first and second layers of polyolefin adhered to opposite sides of the paper layer. The paper layer has a caliper of about 2 mils to about 4.5 mils and a basis weight of about 55 g/m.sup.2 to about 125 g/m.sup.2. The first and second polyolefin layers each have a layer weight of about 10 g/m.sup.2 to about 48 g/m.sup.2. Carbon black is uniformly dispersed in at least two out of the three layers. The total amount of carbon black in the assembly is about 2.5 g/m.sup.2 to about 4.0 g/m.sup.2.

  • Patent number: 4222503
Abstract: A self-contained pouring spout which can be attached to a container over a single opening in the container. The structure includes a spout which is attached to the side of a container by a hinged tab and swings in and out through an opening in the container. The spout is controlled by a slide plate mounted in a guide channel, which is fixed on top of the container above the opening, the slide plate being connected to the spout by flexible straps on opposite sides, leaving a dispensing opening between the straps. A detent on the slide plate and guide channel holds the spout in closed position, and a finger pad is provided on the slide plate for positive grip and to make the spout action a one hand operation.
