  • Patent number: 5098014
Abstract: A collapsible, one-piece, bucket-type, paperboard carton especially suited for fast food operations. The carton has pairs of opposed side and end walls that tend to bow outwardly when the carton is erected, so that when handle panels which are foldably joined to top wall panels, are pushed downwardly the end walls automatically move inwardly until lock tabs projecting from the handle panels are received and locked within related end wall openings.

  • Patent number: 5085316
Abstract: A unitary blank for erection into a package for display and also the erected package which holds, for example, a disassembled mop including a mop head and a mop handle. One embodiment of the blank, and by extension the package, comprises a rear panel, a first side panel, a front panel, a second side panel, and a side flap bondable to the inner surface of the second side panel, with the panels and the flap being foldable about lateral fold lines, so as to define a compartment having opposed openings. The rear panel defines an aperture for receiving and holding the flanges of the mop head. The blank includes folds and cuts for a pocket integral with the front panel and one of the side panels in which will be positioned the mop handle within the erected package. A top flap integral with the rear panel extends above the front panel and has a hole for receiving a hook of a display rack. The blank includes folds and cuts for a stop for preventing lateral movement of the sponge head relative to the erected package.

  • Patent number: 4781289
Abstract: A vertically standing display package having a single vertical display panel for receiving, on one side thereof, a preformed blister pack structure having integrally formed therein a cup-shaped product enclosure and a support. The blister pack structure is in the form of a U-shaped planar base having two parallel, equal length legs extending downwardly on each side of the product enclosure. The support portion of the blister pack structure bridges the two legs and has a three-sided bottom edge coplanar with the ends of the legs. All surfaces of the display package are either parallel to its base plane or at a positive draft angle relative thereto in order to enable intimate stacking of a plurality of display packages and automatic feeding during manufacture.

  • Patent number: 4207978
Abstract: A container is provided to hold and display a group of fragile articles, such as candles. The container comprises an open-topped box having a rectangular bottom and upright front, back and end walls. Each of the end walls has an upwardly projecting extension the width of which is substantially one-half that of the end wall. One of these upward extensions is adjacent to the front wall and the other is adjacent to the rear wall. The inner edges of these extensions are joined to the opposite edges of a partition wall that lies in a plane parallel to and midway between the front and back of the box. The upward extensions and the partition thus cooperate to form a pair of back-to-back vertical compartments above the top of the box, each having a back formed by the partition wall and one side formed by one of the extensions. Articles set vertically into the box have their upper portions received in the vertical compartments to be supported thereby in upright arrangement exposed to view and to inspection.
