  • Patent number: 7288035
Abstract: The present invention is a flag or tail apparatus that incorporates an electronic sound generating device. In some embodiments of this invention, the flag or tail may be removably appended to a belt. Upon decoupling of the flag or tail in the normal course of play, the motion activated electronic sound generating device will emit a sound. The flag or tail can be used in games requiring a player to touch or capture the flag of another player. In the preferred embodiment, the exterior surface of the flag is distinctly modeled after the texture, pattern, and coloring of a specific wild animal's tail. In the preferred embodiment the emitted sound is consistent with the animal pattern displayed upon the flag.

  • Patent number: 5791003
Abstract: An apparatus for variably elevating passenger boarding bridge platforms includes a tunnel (11) having a pivoting end (21) adjacent a fixed platform (7) and a free end (52) adjacent a variable platform (42). The tunnel has a ceiling (15) and a floor (13). The apparatus also includes a lift (102a, 102b, 103a, 103b) for raising and lowering the tunnel (11). The free end (52) of the tunnel is moved vertically by a tilt mechanism (104a, 104b), which has two ends. A cradle (10) is connected to the lift (102a, 102b) and to one end of the tilt mechanism. The apparatus also include a guide structure (14a, 14b) aligning the cradle and a plurality of guidepads (502a, 502b) adjacent the guide structure (14a, 14b) fixed to the tunnel solely at the ceiling (15) for aligning the tunnel (11), leaving the floor (13) to move freely with respect to the guide structure (14a, 14b).

  • Patent number: 4136515
Abstract: A sealed watch case comprises an assembly wherein a gasket bead is applied to predetermined locations on the watch case and caseback prior to assembly. The gasket bead consists of a plastic or elastomeric material generally polymeric in nature which is applied in the form of a gasket bead to the crystal seat in the watch case, the caseback seat in the watch case or either predetermined locations in the caseback. The bead provides a fixed, formed in place and flexible gasket arrangement between the components of the watch case assembly to prevent entry of foreign matter into the watch case. The bead becomes an integral part of the watch case assembly, yet disassembly does not impair the effectiveness of the bead upon subsequent reassembly.
