Abstract: A method for operating a syringe pump assembly includes receiving a syringe in an opening of a drug receptacle of a pump of the syringe pump assembly; determining information indicative of the contents of the syringe using a sensor positioned in the drug receptacle of the pump of the syringe pump assembly; receiving drug administration data from a user; determining an appropriateness of the received drug administration data view of the determined information indicative of the contents of the syringe and further in view of patient-specific information received from an electronic medical records system; and making an administration decision for the contents of the syringe based on the determined appropriateness of the received drug administration data.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for refining a feed oil having contaminants therein. In the method, the feed oil is exposed to reducing conditions at elevated temperature and pressure so as to reduce at least some of said contaminants. The resulting oil is then degassed under reduced pressure under non-oxidizing conditions and the resulting oil extracted with water so as to produce a refined oil.

The apparatus includes a housing having a bottom portion and a side portion extending outwardly to form an open chamber the bottom portion is intended to a lie atop a wheelbarrow a cover is used in conjunction with the open chamber and is hingedly or slidingly attached to the housing in order to extend laterally from the housing. At least a first leg attainably connects to the housing and extends outwardly to contact a ground surface adjacent the wheel barrow. At least a second leg is rotatable attached to the cover and also extends outwardly therefrom to support the cover above the ground surface when the leg contacts the ground surface.

Abstract: A security system for hotels, motels, and the like in which a dead bolt door lock must be in the locked position to enable electric accessories or devices such as lights or television sets to be utilized. The security system includes sensing and control means for sensing the position of the dead bolt lock and for responsibly enabling or disenabling the electric circuitry.
